Because the law was shit when it was written. The only way to adjust it is voting. Since the two parties like to fight, it never happens.

The law should have been updated years ago. I still think we need a livable wage based on economic areas. That needs to be updated twice a year.

A flat inflation index would still leave people behind. We also need to make it costly for companies to outsource labor. That’s one of the excuses for not raising minimum wage.

Another common argument is it was meant for children which is BS. While I’m against a national minimum wage, I strongly support regional living wages.

When everyone has enough, everyone does better.

I never disagreed with you, nor did I ever use the word ‘national’ in my comments.

Allz I’m saying is it’s been far too long since the last adjustments to minimum wage.

Totally agreed, it should be regional, based on the general cost of living. I never said national though, I was just simplifying my thoughts.

I do think we’re more or less on the same page, but it never helps when a person inserts a word into other people’s mouths that were actually never said. I never said ‘national’, except now in response to your comments.

I really would like to think that our thoughts and reasons to protest are generally on the same page, but please learn to read thoroughly before objecting to a word that I never typed in the first place.

I just used national because that’s how we do it now. I didn’t say you said it but it’s the standard we currently have in place
