I’m envious of people who happened to be at the right place at the right time to change history. There’s nothing particularly special about guys like Steve Jobs except they happened to be exactly where the 21st century was being invented. Even Bill Gates, he basically lied through his teeth to get most every opportunity he ever got, and happened to have rich parents who bailed him out of some of his lies.
And there was this one guy in college, he just seemed to effortlessly have all the stuff I had to fight really hard for. He was in good shape, good looking, had a pretty girlfriend, did way better in school and had a great job lined up, and it’s like the universe just liked that guy more than me. I didn’t resent him for it though, the world sometimes casts dice and you don’t get some rolls.
