The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Richmond on Saturday.

According to authorities, deputies responded to the 17000 block of Cory Cornel Lane around 6:54 a.m. in Fort Bend County after reports of a shooting.

“By 10 a.m. when I left for work, everything was blocked off,” said Karla Florez, a neighbor.

Officials say four adults, including the alleged shooter, and an 8-year-old child were pronounced dead.

“I was a little bit in shock,” said Florez.

Investigators say that one adult and two children “survived” the shooting, uninjured.

“I’m just very sorry for the loss and I hope they can heal from this,” said Florez.

It appeared to deputies and investigators to be a case of domestic violence.

Investigators say it’s unclear how everyone in the house was related, and they don’t have a motive for the shooting as of yet. The deadly shooting is under investigation.
