Most so-called “incels” could go out and get a girl pretty quickly, but they don’t want that girl. They want the girl they imagine they “deserve”. In this way, they aren’t really involuntarily celibate, they are quite voluntarily celibate because if they wanted to they could go get a girl, just not the girl they want.
The state supplied girlfriends would be valueless. Anyone could get one, so nobody would want one. With a mass of unwanted women being cast aside, with nobody to care about them, it’d be a mass humanitarian crisis and really something absolutely horrible – imagine creating a life from nothing just to have that life cast aside.
