I’d usually don’t log my crimes so I don’t need to delete them. But I guess that’s why I’ll never be the Emissary.
I try to avoid cheating, murder and the need for cover-ups in the first place. ~Maybe that’s why I’m not high up in any hierarchy, now that I think about it. 🤔~
Journaling is a really helpful mindfulness practice.
I’m sure O’Brien would have no problem recovering it
It may trigger some hidden Cardassian virus that threatens the station, but he’ll recover those logs, alright. Gotta work in some suffering somehow.
Even if it means shifting into an alternate universe where those logs were never deleted, O’Brien will get it done!
And wind up in a Section 31 black site? Hasn’t O’Brien suffered enough?!
Of course not
Starfleet: “That’s your dos equis, Captain. Don’t make any more mistakes.”
I wouldn’t put it past Starfleet to secretly keep records of all personal entries made using the ship’s computer, even if they were “deleted.”
Well, yeah. You need them for FOIA and potential lawsuits and audits.
For the greater good…
And he will learn to live with it.
It would be interesting to see the story told from an outside view, where leadership conspires and violates the law in the name of righteousness.
