If you never heard of sleep paralysis or never experienced, then it’s about time.

Sleep Paralysis occurs when you don’t sleep well, or have different disorders that clash with sleeping, mainly happens when you sleep on the back.

It is common and not rare, it happens almost to every person.

I never experienced it myself, at least I don’t remember. My friends have told me very scary stories that they have experienced during their sleep time.

One of my friends said: I couldn’t move, I felt pressure on my chest and couldn’t move my body, I could only open my eyes and move them while my body was still asleep, I woke up paralyzed. (It lasts for a few minutes and then you wake up)

He told me he saw a figure running towards him, grabbing him by his neck and chocking him, that weird figure was a woman and she just jump-scared right into his face in total fear, he couldn’t do anything…

Sleep Paralysis (the brain) will use things that you are scared of to trigger you, some people also had better encounters with different visuals but usually, they’re god damn scary…

So what this whole story is about? Due to sleeping problems or disorders that clash with sleeping, the sleep paralysis takes its role.

You will wake up paralyzed from head to toes, you will be able to move your eyes but no more than that,

Urban legend says that it happens due to a demon taking control of your body at sleep and then all the horrors will be visual at sight. Although this is a story, it’s quite creepy.

There are many videos circulating around this paralysis and you should definitely check this out.

Did you ever experience such thing? If you did let me know and share this to the rest of the community.

I have had the sleep paralysis where I also had the sensation of suffocating - this happened half-a-dozen or more times between ages 8 and 25. Now, I seemingly just do not ever get it…

In fact, I think I have had the suffocating sensation in most of my sleep paralysis experiences.

What may help with this is my prayer life… At least, I think so.

I also now live in a completely newly constructed home - I am the first resident - and I am trying to keep it as spiritually clean as possible.

You may also feel a weird pressure on your chest, like a hand or something that just lays on your chest. So yeah, kinda of a bizarre experience.

That is probably what made me feel either the sensation of suffocation or , occasionally, just inadequate breathing.

I remember I had sleep paralysis the first night I had slept into the home I moved into at age 12 or 13, and it involved a daddy long-legs spider crawling all the way up my body, literally from the bottom of my feet, up one leg, up my bare stomach and chest, and then up to my chin… Then crawling the whole way down the other side of my body and exiting from the other leg.

To this day, I sitll think about that occasionally - it was absolutely remarkable how it was dragged out to that length.

I actually did not fear sleeping there another night because I had experienced sleep paralysis a few times prior, and this was not one accompanied by suffocation, just a serious sense of dread…

It is also worth noting that I am not an arachnephobe - I mean, of course, like a normal person I am not excited at the prospect of handling a spider or anything… But if it isn’t some giant, intimidating looking spider that may be poisonous, I can handle them without much fanfare.

I understand, sleep paralysis can bring the worst sometimes, how do you handle your thoughts after you experienced the paralysis?

Have had it happen a bunch of times, from sleeping on back, but not to the extent of your friend and I think without hallucinations (some continuations of dreams?). I no longer sleep on back as much, or with head to side if I do. You can try to wiggle (“WIGGLE HARD!” lol) your body to wake up (I’ve gotten that a fair amount of times, the gap between waking up and being able to control the body). stress would bring it on too if I recall correctly
