Community Name: Peaceful Resolutions

Description:

Welcome to Peaceful Resolutions! This is a place where we believe in the power of dialogue and understanding. Here, we focus on resolving conflicts and fostering harmony within our community.

In this community, a random user who has observed conflict in the comments of a post not related to this community, is to call for both users to make amends and or apologize (See eye to eye common ground) in a post titled “I call for UserA123 and UserB456 to make amends” and include either a screenshot or link to the original post where you saw both users arguing.

Importantly, the users involved in the argument cannot call for an apology post themselves; it must come from an impartial observer who wishes to see a positive resolution.

To ensure constructive dialogue, the disputing parties must adhere to strict guidelines: no cuss words, no argumentative language, and no personal attacks. They are required to keep their communication straightforward, respectful, and focused on understanding each other. Otherwise, they are immediately banned from the community, and the opposing user is named the winner of their original argument/debate/disagreement.

Violating these rules results in an automatic ban and the other party being declared the winner of the orignal argument they had in the first place.

Rules:

  1. Respectful Communication: Always communicate with respect and kindness. Personal attacks and offensive language will not be tolerated.

  2. Constructive Dialogue: Engage in meaningful and constructive discussions. Aim to understand the other person’s perspective and find common ground.

  3. Conflict Resolution: If a disagreement arises, work towards resolving it peacefully. Seek to apologize and forgive to maintain a positive community atmosphere.

  4. Strict Language Guidelines: During the resolution process, all participants must avoid using cuss words, argumentative language, or personal attacks. Failure to comply results in an automatic ban and the other party being declared the winner of the argument.

  5. Moderator Assistance: If needed, moderators are here to help mediate conflicts and facilitate peaceful resolutions.

How to Participate:

  1. Identify the Conflict: Locate the post where the argument took place.

  2. Encourage Apology: Kindly ask both users to apologize to each other and find a way to move forward positively, adhering to the guidelines of respectful communication.

  3. Enforce Consequences: Monitor the dialogue to ensure adherence to the rules. If a user breaks the rules, report it to the moderators for an automatic ban and declare the other party the winner of the argument.

  4. Share Your Thoughts: Reflect on the resolution process and share your thoughts or suggestions on how to maintain a harmonious community.

Join us in promoting peace and understanding. Let’s make Peaceful Resolutions a model of constructive and positive interaction!

Idk what do you think ??

I feel like I’ve been caught up in misunderstandings that, because it’s so hard to mend fences while others are chiming in, it can be hard to overcome differences of opinion respectfully. I can be difficult sometimes, admittedly, but I don’t want bad blood with anyone either. I would welcome it.

All I can say is that I haven’t seen anything like it, and I’d love to see it catch on. Even non corporate social media has a toxic side, and we should be doing more to ameliorate.

Don’t say it’s okay, though. If I know I’m only being a little sassy, then I start thinking maybe there’s some room for me to be worse 🤔

Oh my God lol ok then no NO NO it’s not ok lol

Honestly, at least for me, when I see your comments that are sassy, I read your username and I’m like, “Oh, alright, he’s just like then, makes sense”

And I’m not really irritated anymore after that. The username you have is kinda like a preview I guess of what to expect. So for me, I’m not bothered.

Otherwise if I was you and I would already know eachother lol

I think it would be nice to. There’s lots of negativity here and it would be nice to have a balance.

I think I’ll see how this post does and then think if I should make it or not.

Recommend picking your battles to start with. This isn’t “a thing” yet. Talk to the pairs of users ahead of time, give the idea its best chance to show its worth. Once you’ve done it a few times, maybe some other people start putting forward arguments to be settled.

It will be messy - hell is other people, after all. But the idea has my support, for whatever that’s worth

              Ty ♥️

I like your suggestion I’ll be doing that with this community if I decide on making it.

              Very good idea indeed.
