Lol many years ago I used to chat on IRC a lot, and I made these basic bots that would say random shit. You would be surprised how many people talked to them. I once parked one in this cybersex channel, some dude legit started getting it on with it even though it was just repeating the same 10 lines over and over again.

I think I still have some of these old logs saved somewhere, maybe I’ll post them.

But yeah, there’s no way people would recognize they’re talking to an AI if it doesn’t tell them and they start off thinking it’s a real person.
