“Kinect is going to be the future of gaming!” Except this is the only generation that is going to natively support it. But hey, Apple will shrink it down, put it in a phone, and use it to authenticate you. That’s not nearly as fun as using it for dancing and rafting though.
photoprism is good. i ran it for a few years before running both immich and photoprism side by side, and eventually shut down photoprism and moved entirely over to immich. i’d never give anybody flak for using photoprism, but for people starting from scratch i’d strongly recommend immich.
Funny how they can wear masks now, but back in 2020 they bitched and moaned all day and night.

Yes, they swallowed it.
the video in the article does a great job of explaining it, but of course not everybody can or wants to watch the video.
the video said that El Niño is when the ocean between south american and australia heats up by at least 0.5ºC above long term averages, and can cause warmer weather over the next many months, in this case through the end of 2026 and into 2027. it said that they expect the average temp to be above 2ºC higher than long term averages. it also said that wildfire season in canada would not be affected by it, but wildfire season in australia, which is around december 2026, could be especially bad.
