“God?! God’s a radical left lunatic, so soft on crime, so soft. What did God do to stop Iran getting nukes? Nothing! Not like me.”

2·13 days ago“third test” meaning test for so campily bad it’s good? (Just rewatched Starcrash in #MondayActionMovie , guessing that would score well.)
OT, I still need to see Laserblast. Because I forgot to download Silver Bullet in advance & my internet went weird right at #Monsterdon time, I’m gonna host another watch party earlier on Sunday 10th May. If folks are interested, I might make it a regular thing (choosing any previous Monsterdon film), and then I could start making a real dent in the Monsterdon back catalogue, including Laserblast.

Ideas for Seagal Test:

- At least one scene in a strip club
- Lead character uses wildly inappropriate appropriated dialect / accent (a.k.a. “the Aiight factor”)
- “Attraction” between good-looking young woman & male lead many years/decades older than her
If a film passes all three requirements of the Seagal Test, that could be indicated by three vomit emojis 🤮🤮🤮 :)
PS Just thought of additional / bonus points:
- Action hero mostly stands still or even sits throughout the action
- Action hero wearing sunglasses at inappropriate moments (but please note The Jake & Elwood Blues Exception)
At least the seal is trying

Of course! I should have realized he was up to something
You’d think Calvin would love to eat them if that’s how he thinks of them.
No, it’s Amazon MGM.
(I think even though SG-1 started off being shown on Showtime in the 90s, which IIRC was part of CBS/Paramount, the show was still an MGM production.)

Calling anything you don’t like “communism” is what selfish shittiness has looked like for a century.
