The most annoying thing about being famous is having to tell everyone how famous you are.

This shit is always so fucking tragic to me… There’s so much LIFE there and we’re destroying it!? Why!?
Fucking pointless…
Not sure what went wrong but I updated the link! Hopefully this version is better/easier to read!
I don’t know why it uploaded so small but I went ahead and updated the link to point directly to the version hosted on the original website. Hopefully that helps!

This looks like your post accidentally duplicated. Could you please delete this one? The other one seems more popular.
I thought it was fun! It did a great job capturing everyone as just fucking weird which a lot of adaptions fail to do.
That said, it isn’t “accurate” but I think the stuff it does change, it does well.
Not the best show in the world but it’s a fun 8 episodes and David Tennant has fantastic hair the whole time so I had no complaints.
Someone else pointed this out as well. It does say that but at no point does it actually say that asbestos was dangerous or that asbestos laws happened or anything related to its decline at all.
If you didn’t know about asbestos then you wouldn’t know why this stopped being used.
I feel like that’s an important part of the Cemesto history that wasn’t mentioned in the article outside of a bit of a sentence at the start that requires prior knowledge.
This is the perfect companion piece to my recent viewing of the “Around the World in 80 Days” adaptation that David Tennant was in.

Sometimes Lemmy can be weird about the “subscribe” feature when subscribing between instances. You’re already subscribed as soon as you hit the button, it just isn’t showing correctly.
Maven (famous)@lemmy.zipOPto New Communities@lemmy.world•Wiki-Dose - A Community for "Microdosing Wikipedia"English6·5 days agoIt’s basically casual tuesday always but also a general focus on stuff that doesn’t really matter.
I was thinking about it as a place to discuss things that everyone will forget about the day after while creating it.
Oh yeah! That would definitely do it! Somehow my brain didn’t connect those lol
It seems like the last big project was made in the early 50s though… Very good that it died out either way if it was being made with Asbestos.
Realistically you could always make it. I don’t think retrolemmy is the best instance for it… But it’s really easy to make and set up a community.
Ah rip sorry. I missed that requirement. I have one of those laptops that fold back on themselves and turn into a tablet and I use it on that.
I’ve been working a lot with Rebelle 7 personally and I like it for that reason. It’s an art tool dedicated to recreating the physical/traditional art world and so it’s much more streamlined in the amount of stuff it offers.
I can find everything super easily and I’ve never gotten lost while using it. It’s epic.
(Also it has fantastic traditional art emulation stuff which is cool but more importantly the other stuff for this discussion)
This comment explains the comic well.
Yoo! I love any animal that eats things like termites and mosquitoes!
