I’m not sure where I “demanded that you 100% agree with me”, but it matters because rallying behind some milquetoast liberal that will bring us back to this position in a few years is not enough in the long run.

You didn’t explicitly, that’s why I asked you. But you did tiptoe around the fact by citing some agreements that Stalin had with the nazis, as that is some sort of gotcha, right after advocating for a member of the British Conservative Party which led to the ruinous policy of appeasement with the nazis (as a form of anti-communism), so I had some doubts.
It’s funny how you talk about unity against a common enemy and in the next comment argue exactly against that. Do you deny that the USSR made significant contributions in defeating the nazis?
Have these people read the part in the Bible that talks about the Antichrist??
The real freedom is the one we got from CK’s nonsense
You might be leaving out one significant person and country in stopping the Nazis.
it is the Russian Armies who have done the main work in tearing the guts out of the German army – Winston Churchill
I have an army of 1 with a water pistol ready to annex Switzerland
Looking forward to the media showing the story for each of the 2000 released Palestinian hostages
Sorry, but after 2 years of livestreamed 4k genocide, this is nowhere near enough progress. This is the time to demand for actual changes and consequences for what happened.
Just heard a presidential candidate for the supposedly progressive Ireland claiming that this was somehow doing something, while any actual meaningful action was blocked by her party in government. This is performative at best.
Complacency will get us nowhere.
Yes, this is how capitalist propaganda works. News outlets are bought out and only opinions in line with the owner’s views are allowed. This is what happened with Wapo:

Noam Chomsky’s Manufacturing Consent explains the process nicely.
Yeah, that makes sense. With current events I’m sure there won’t be a shortage of political cartoons
Thanks, I didn’t realize that adding an image removes the URL for the post. I’ve updated the description now
Second generation Paperwhite was actually really good, and still works nicely. They were still in the capture the market phase with that, so they had to offer some quality.
Wouldn’t this be a better fit for leopardsatemyface@lemmy.world ?
He’s so far up Trump’s ass, it’s a miracle he even managed to type that
It’s impossible to contact Google to fix their implementation of language detection…
What do you mean by this? If the site parses the header incorrectly and displays a wrong language, then it’s a bug of the website, not the browser. You also said that chromium sends headers that are parsed correctly.
Ok, which one of you jokers paid the Kirk witches to hex this guy?
Woah, those McDonalds in Chicago must feel really safe now
That is why I said in the long run. Temporary support for Newsom, Pritzker etc is fine as they were some of the first Democrats to find a spine. But as soon as the Trump cancer is cleared (being optimistic here), an actual left opposition has to be built in the USA (and the rest of the Western world)
