Well duh, Kent isn’t as full of fucking poors like anywhere connected to the A1, which is still single fucking carriageway in places.
For what it’s worth, almost all of that is privately funded, and it’s also a one-off cost. It’s not really the same as ~£35bn spent annually on PIP.
