Well, the problem is, you are trying to maintain a very niche community without even an active general purpose tf2 community. So it shouldn’t be surprising, I guess.

Brother, I got bad news for you. I ran a much less niche community for Monster Hunter on lemmy.world for over a year. Even at the height of activity I was lucky to get 20 interactions on a post. I got tons more interactions on random MH comments in other communities.

Best of luck to you, but I don’t like your chances.

I would guess that if you have any metric data, you could see how many visitors vs comments/posts you have, and then work on engagement. Post more open ended things to try to get people to want to post.

Otherwise, a sure bet is to get the word out about your community and try to bring more people in. Which means telling people who aren’t on you server to come join it. Probably Reddit and maybe a website/post that’s going to get search indexed at some point that leads people here.

Well we need more people making weapons, I like making my own weapons and having people posting here but the server will probably die if only I am posting cause some days I dont have that many ideas

I admire your enthusiasm and it is appreciated, though, Lemmy is quite smaller than Reddit. Niche communities are more difficult to establish, but it is sorely needed.

Best bet is to probably move to Reddit
