In other words: Google selected a non standard tag again. It’s a W3C draft, but not a standard yet: https://webmonetization.org/specification/
Google is not following standards, and than W3C has no other way just accept the draft, as it’s already implemented by the majority of browsers… Whose decision is which standard to accept? Google or W3C? Will Google remove the tag if the W3C selects a different tag as standard? Or the internet is just another Alphabet Inc product?
