Pretty much the title. There’s plenty of things that need to be addressed and as a sync ultra paying customer I feel that the Dev should at least try to maintain their software. Curious if anyone else has tried emailing him?

Personally why I don’t pay for ultra. He can come and go as he pleases, but if I payed for ultra I’d expect more regular updates. He doesn’t want to, that’s fine, but I don’t pay for that.

I purchased the Pro version, ad free, and I’m happy with it. Same as what I had with Reddit, performs the same for me, and that’s all I wanted.

I do find the way he works kinda strange. He’s of course entitled to work how he pleases but I think just some communication with the community would be appreciated especially as people are paying a subscription. Just pin a thread to say “I’m going to be away for x months, but I’ll still be working on the app.”

I’m surprised too by the “big bang” approach to doing huge releases, when deploying small incremental changes is the favoured approach in the software development community. You can keep providing value and fixing bugs whilst getting constant feedback.

I paid for the Reddit version but I’m glad I didn’t pay for the Lemmy version.

It’s not uncommon for him to disappear for months (working on other projects, ect) then pop in with a slew of updates to fix things.
