Hey look, an opinion piece being posited as fact, by a non-reputable source, with references to either twitter posts, or articles posted on the same website! I love this game.

    My turn.

“Three years after thousands of people violently attacked the U.S. Capitol and assaulted law enforcement officers in an unsuccessful attempt to block our democracy’s peaceful transfer of power, the FBI and our partners continue to succeed in holding them accountable,” said David Sundberg, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office. “Our work is not done, however, and—with the continued help of the American people, who have provided invaluable tips and information—we remain committed to seeing it through.””

    ^Directly from the FBI.

“Pipe bombs in D.C.: The FBI and ATF are offering a combined reward of up to $490,000 for information leading to the location, arrest, and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the placement of pipe bombs in Washington, D.C., on January 5, 2021”

    ^also FBI

Images of the traitors who are wanted for arrest: https://www.fbi.gov/wanted/capitol-violence-images

Now to give you the benefit of the doubt, I did a little reading into where you could possibly be coming up with your strawman, and I did find this particular piece of rhetoric: “FBI finds scant evidence U.S. Capitol attack was coordinated”

Further review of the article shows that not even that supports your mis(dis?)informed view.

“FBI investigators did find that cells of protesters, including followers of the far-right Oath Keepers and Proud Boys groups, had aimed to break into the Capitol, but they found no evidence that the groups had serious plans about what to do if they made it inside, the sources said.”

Anyway, your rhetoric is dangerous misinformation rooted in denial of basic reality.

I eagerly await for this comment to be removed.

Edit: Ok so I read the articles shared by our fascist friends, and its even worse than I thought.

What are we comparing to the January 5th insurrection you may ask? Why, that would be Justin Jones and Justin Pearson from Tennessee, who protested over the school shootings there. Honest to god, what even is your argument here? Like, that’s pretty fucked up.

We don’t remove comments when they are talking about the topic.

So yes, no insurrection. What do you think an insurrection is? The Jan 6th was a bunch of idiots rioting. Nothing like, yet lefties have big crocodile tears over it. It lasted a few hours. Two people died, one was shot by an agent and one fell off a building. A believe a third may have died outside from a heart attack.

Considering the democrats have done this many times. It’s seems odd to have so many tears over it.

Also those twitter post are from the people who did the event. So that’s a first hand account.

Lets try this again- direct quotes from the FBI:

FBI investigators did find that cells of protesters, including followers of the far-right Oath Keepers and Proud Boys groups, had aimed to break into the Capitol, but they found no evidence that the groups had serious plans about what to do if they made it inside, the sources said.”

“Considering the democrats have done this many times. It’s seems odd to have so many years over it.”

Honestly if I had my way, outright false information like this would be ban worthy.

        Additionally:

“We don’t remove comments when they are talking about the topic.”

The mod log from this thread disproves that.

but they found no evidence that the groups had serious plans about what to do if they made it inside, the sources said. That doesn’t mean the definition of an insurrection by law.

Honestly if I had my way, outright false information like this would be ban worthy

It isn’t false. I can show many times the democrats have done it but you’ll just ignore it. Just like you ignored the previous example.

The mod log from this thread disproves that. I never have deleted someone talking about the topic and not breaking the rules.

Because youre not making real comparisons. You compared two politicians protesting because of SCHOOL SHOOTINGS, to thousands of people literally breaking into the capital to prevent the peaceful transfer of power. Making that comparison undermines you credibility to an almost comical extent, and makes it impossible to take any other statement you make seriously.

It is either an insurrection or it isn’t. And thousands didn’t break in to stop a transfer of power. It’s hard to take you serious when you just make things up.

How many people were charged with insurrection ? You think thousands were charged and convicted of insurrection ? Show me where thousands were charged and convicted for insurrection.

an unsuccessful attempt to block our democracy’s peaceful transfer of power

Show me where thousands were charged and convicted for insurrection.

Lets look at the numbers, shall we?

How many were charged with insurrection. You are claiming it was one. It shouldn’t be that hard to show how many were charged. That would be a big deal.

Last time I saw, it was zero. Zero people were charged for insurrection or rebellion. Zero.

Riot type charges were the most common that I’ve seen.

                    Two points:

                    1. You are focusing on a very specific detail, someone being charged specifically with “insurrection”-which isn’t at all how this works-and using it as a tool to dismiss every piece of evidence in front of you. This is the type of rhetoric that undermines your credibility and makes you look pedantic and ignorant.

                    2. 54 people have been charged with conspiracy. I suggest you look at the article provided, it will give you not just the number of charges, but who, what charge, a description of exactly what the charge was, etc.
