As for the stats and conclusions: this has always been the case. Idk about this one but older stats put out by the FBI more than a decade ago showed right, left, Islamic-radicals, and other; right was the largest, of course. When you factor in that religious extremists are also rightwing, it was a super majority by far (iirc).
