12Georgia @ 1Texas
Georgia may be fast on the streets, but our players are faster than theirs on the field. Horns by a million
lmao @ emo Bevo. That’s quality content there
I had never seen that before and it made me chuckle. Unfortunately that’s been the highlight of this game for me thus far
OK y’all, I’ve got to make an important meeting early in the morning so I have to get to bed. If (when) Texas loses, I will update the banner but it’s going to be in the afternoon tomorrow
Good luck in your meeting! Maybe the UTs can meet in the Citrus bowl…
Reports of HEB-UT’s demise may have been exaggerated.
Tangentially, I had their quick-service BBQ restaurant’s brisket today. The fatty is much better than the lean, but overall not bad at all, and the brisket baked beans are an excellent side.
Not sure I agree with putting in Manning, it’s the oline not protecting Ewers that’s the problem…
Agreed. I know Sark is just trying to get a spark, but trusting in the defense and trying to come out swinging in the 2nd half would be a better gameplan
Comms go down briefly. How fitting that the headsets for both teams are sponsored by major airlines (Delta and AA)
Calling a TO only 10 seconds into the game? Okay…
Official put a little mustard on that flag lol
I genuinely thought it came out of the stands at first and was ready to go full Zapruder film on trying to find the perpetrator
Carson Beck is an outstanding quarterback
Says Herbie, on the play Beck throws his 2nd INT (which should have been his 3rd) in the first quarter
UT 🤝 UT
Oline woes
Surely its too early to go for it there, now you’ve come up empty instead of getting at least some points
The officiating in this game is technically officiating
Yeah that’s an oof of a call, DKR has every right to be upset with that one
Also I thought PI was an auto 15, not a spot foul
Edit: Yeah I said be upset, not endangering safety by throwing shit
ARE YOU ALLOWED TO DO THAT?
I DON’T KNOW
Incredible tip drill! And almost perfectly executed a flea flicker on the next play. That would have been a thing of beauty
Refs just handing the game to Georgia
Wow! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a refs change a call like that holy crap
ESPN’s College Gameday
Really glad they moved the set back to the South Mall after having it next to the LBJ Presidential Library the last several years. The Tower makes a much better backdrop than DKR. Although I don’t love that they used Smokey the Cannon to blow a hole through Beck’s jersey. I was at Gameday in 2019 when they did that to Joe Burrow’s jersey and remember how that turned out…
Where was Corso today? Is he doing alright?
At the LSU-Arkansas game in Fayetteville, Arkansas, a major water main has caused major damage to the main intersection used for going to parking on campus. Plan accordingly.
https://4029tv.com/article/fayetteville-water-main-breaks/62657410
I guess the refs decided that they’ve flagged LSU enough. No more penalties for them?
Michigan @ Illinois
Not sure if Illinois’ unis are a crime against humanity or a brilliant fashion statement
Oh my god those are horrendous… I love it
If you haven’t seen it, check out how Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson, and Jenny Dell went along with the 1920s theme in the embedded tweet here
That’s awesome. I want to see Michigan do fake helmets now, since their iconic stripes are a holdover from the leatherhead days
I’m just here to make my weekly “Neal Brown is a fucking clown” comment. Like seriously, 45-10, except we got a pity TD to make it 18 and they scored with 25 left and they didn’t give it to them. It’s so tragic I spent $1k on season tickets to watch this bullshit. 1 1/4 enjoyable games at home. Watched us die against Penn State (with a 2 hour weather delay). We beat Albany. We beat Kansas (and looked like shit for 3 quarters and also had another 2 hour weather delay). Got the shit kicked out of us at a night game by ISU. Got the shit kicked out of us even worse tonight by KSU. Only have Baylor and UCF left; Baylor just beat up on Zona, and UCF plays ISU way closer than we did.
This team is painful.
At this point in the season the only thing that I want is for Navy-Army to be an undefeated match-up.
Go Navy! (Mostly so my retired navy officer boss will be in a better mood around Christmas bonus season)
UK @ UF
I’ll watch this one so y’all don’t have to. Florida opens the scoring with a FG.
I am trying to check on this game during the ad breaks in the Texas game but they keep lining up
Y’know, uhh, if you wanted to, there’s room over here for fans that suddenly find they dislike UGA.
Just sayin’.
Watching now. Have y’all always done Mr. Brightside? Feels like everyone’s just copying Michigan now, although it’s not like they own the song or anything
No clue. The Tom Petty song in the second half is our newest “thing,” as far as I know.
I’ve noticed this throughout the season… The networks are conspiring to make this happen more and more
3rd quarter ends with Kentucky at about midfield versus a Florida D that is either tiring or is being coached to give up some yards to milk the clock. Neither idea is particularly impressive, but Lagway looks like the future and we’ve yet to see Billy do anything truly head-scratching, so we got that going for us…
Carbon copy of Florida’s previous TD drive. Nice run after a long completion down the seam sets them up. Somebody is NIL’ing the living bejeezus out of Lagway next year. I hope it’s UF.
Well, THERE’s the special teams breakdown that comes from not prioritizing it and tempting the football gods by calling it the “GameChanger Coordinator.”
27-13 Gators after a weaving, slightly crazy KO return. And after some mild silliness, that’s how we go to halftime.
Florida gets some home cooking on the initial call on third-and-goal. Another good drive for DJ though. 34-20.
@ UK #0
That number is way too small for such a big boy lol
Yes, he should be at least #21.
Taking one for the team, respect
Yeah I’d rather we not talk about the UT UF game ever
Would love to be wrong about Billy, but he probably needs to surprise in one of the gauntlet games and take care of business against a very weak FSU to save his job.
Still, they definitely had some moments and actually put a team away, eventually.
Welllll, shit. Kentucky with the TD on a flea flicker, the ad-absurdum of play-action.
They miss the XP though. 6-6.
41-20, Gators drive it down after the turnover on downs. Even a “Barely Enough Billy” team should have this one in hand with 3:30 left.
And Gators go up 6-0, after some uninspiring 3rd-down playcalling, but nothing super stupid has happened yet.
TD Gators. Nice effort on the running play for the score, after a great snag on a rope for 50 yards.
Pick-6 to the Gators. I don’t really know how Vandagriff was ever a 5-star. That is just not an SEC starter’s arm. Did he get injured in spring ball or something?
Gators punch it in for a TD after a long int return. This Wildcat team may, uhhh, not actually be very good.
Well at least they’re pretty good on kickoff returns, it seems. But otherwise, yes, you are probably right
LOL. “GameChanger” indeed.
Gators still up 3-0 at end of 1st quarter and back in the red zone. Lagway looks better against UK’s defense and with a proper week of preparation, but still playing a bit like a freshman. Florida D is holding up so far, but they just have that feel like Stoops is going to try to wear them out, and I’m not sure if the UF offense will be efficient enough to force UK into being one-dimensional.
And a nice opening drive from Kentucky, with a fourth down conversion and a few passes mixed in to keep Florida honest. One score game now, Billy.
Weird sequence there. Gators intercept Vandagriff, then almost immediately Lagway gives it back on a very Freshman-y throw. Kentucky squanders the 63 yard return though, turning it over on downs because they were utterly uncreative. Florida maybe benefited from an early whistle (depends on whether you assume the DL lets up upon hearing it).
Texas is back… in the garbage.
TCU @ Utah
I’m too old for the B12 to have late games, especially when the Frogs shit the bed with a red zone fumble. 😡
Smart drop there, he totally meant to drop that pick
The secondary probably got an earful after the DB held onto a 4th-down arm-punt earlier and cost the Frogs 31 yards.
Jeez, Utah’s offense has just imploded without Cam Rising. Frogs are basically playing 4-minute offense going into halftime. Hope that doesn’t come back to bite them, but I can’t even fault them for thinking it will work.
Yeah, I’m kinda just thinking TCU ran out of ideas.
Finally a score. Frogs up 3-0.
This one’s still going? Jeez. I just finished my second cigar lol and saw there’s still a game on
Yeah I don’t know how, or why I’m still awake. Both my teams appear to be coached by idiots, but they also might both win tonight.
Hey we take those
Oh jeez, Utah gets the long bomb to pull it to 13-7.
Ugly, but a win’s a win, especially this year. Go Frogs.
TCU got VERY lucky to only have running-into called, and not roughing the kicker. They drive down and get another three.
Frogs, same as most of the other games, have done a lot of good, then found ways to fuck it up, but they punched one in. 10-0.
Although if they promise to block punts every time, we can make something work.
By “they,” I meant TCU, football gods. Utah with the FG block. Ugh.
Seeing Michigan fans at the bar watching this game is 👌
15 LSU @ Arkansas
Would really love an upset here, for reasons
11 alabama @ 16 Tennessee - The Third Saturday in October
Are the cigars a Smoky/Great Smoky Mountains thing? If so, I get it, but there is nothing quite so eye-rollingly bougie as 20-year-olds lighting up a stogie in a golf-shirt. 🤣
GG, Vols. Y’all are uglying your way to a good year.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Saturday_in_October#Victory_cigars
In the 1950s, Jim Goostree, the head athletic trainer for Alabama, began another tradition as he began handing out cigars following a victory over the Volunteers.[10] Both teams continued the tradition for some time, though kept it secret due to NCAA rules concerning extra benefits and tobacco products. Alabama publicly restarted the tradition in 2005, though as a result, self-reported an NCAA violation.[11] Every year since 2007, the winner of the Alabama–Tennessee game knowingly violates the NCAA rule and reports the violation in honor of tradition.[12]
Edit: lmao they’ve already updated the 2024 results
Ahh, there we go. I should have known that an eye-rollingly bougie CFB tradition would have started at Bama. 🤣
I SAID IT’S GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL

Not sure I disagree with Bama having gone for this. You need a three and out either way, it’s just that you’re likely down 7 instead of 4 if you pull it off. OT/2pt is arguably a small price to pay for one more play where you control your destiny.
Hadn’t really thought about it that way, but you’re honestly right. I guess I’m still hoping that we break one and make it an 11 point game
Interception is close enough? LOL
WE’LL FUCKING TAKE IT
LETS FUCKING GO, YOUR LITTLE PISSBABY ANTI TEMPO BULLSHIT CAN’T STOP THE HEUP TRAIN BABYEEEEEEEEEE
Third Saturday in October make a field goal challenge - difficulty: Impossible
LET’S FUCKING GO BOYS I NEVER DOUBTED YOU
I DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE WHOLE STATE OF ALABAMA
Is this the ugliest top 15 matchup of all time?
I was just thinking it was about time for Milroe to make a red zone mistake, lol
THAT WAS FUCKING SHORT
I STILL DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE WHOLE STATE OF ALABAMA
Dog we better spend literally the entire off week doing nothing but throwing full speed bombs
I like aggressive play calling, but that was BONKERS
Yeah Pearce got away with one there
Agreed. Close to the end of the game so it has some influence, but there is still enough time on the clock that Alabama still gets another drive as we are seeing now
I say go for it Josh, 2 yards for the ballgame
4 Miami @ Louisville
Time for my biased Miami review. Their offense is top notch, and can keep them in any game. Their defense and special teams are absolute garbage.
Without Cam Ward, this team would probably be 3-4, unfortunately.
Watching I was just blown away by Ward, he’s got my non existent Heisman vote right now. Watching him reminded me of Young in the 22 TSIO game where he was the only reason that game wasn’t a blowout for us
Good Lord that was the worst tackling I’ve ever seen
There is no way that Miami is yet again going to come down to a review late in the game
This one is shaping up to be a good one, all tied up early in the 4th.
