Thanks, I honestly didn’t know! I’ve only really adopted Lemmy for almost daily use a few weeks back and mostly read tech related stuff and it’s been blissfully apolitical for the most part. Some of it is on .ml - I now understand the issue and will look out for it/support communities on other instances where possible.
Huh, interesting! Thanks a lot! I guess I’ll keep reading the communities on lemmy.ml but avoid joining more. And if I ever encounter the issues described I hope I’ll find similar communities elsewhere. So far everything on Lemmy is so much better than in any other platforms that I’m quite happy.
I honestly cannot find it. I find that Hexbear and Lemmigrad are frowned upon (hadn’t previously encountered them), but I actually find a few recommendations about Lemmy.ml. And many of my own subs are from there. I’d really like to understand!
If at all possible, I would recommend you try to find a venting mechanism at work. Even if you can only let out 80% of what’s bottled up.
For me, identifying people I trust and can vent to has always been crucial when joining a new workplace. I consider myself lucky I managed to find that numerous times at clients as a consultant and now even have a manager I can vent to. Mental safety is super important at work and for me that means being able to vent sometimes. I still struggle with letting it slip out in the wrong contexts but I’m getting better.
I see people in that thread recommending to avoid lemmy.ml - what’s up with that?!?
Saw them at a hotel not too long ago and immediately talked about how matte black faucets would be awesome at home.
How else would you get to places? In Denmark we say there is no bad weather only bad clothing.
(Or did you mean a motorbike?)
I did almost 200 in my first Autobahn driving lesson and did 230 at some point after getting the license. No I think it’s stupid Germany allows those speeds. IMHO it should be capped at 120 on all public roads. Crazy what lack of rules, young people and overpowered cars can cause
The US is a broken democracy. But unfortunately right now the only way to salvage anything and even get a chance of reforming it ever, you have to vote for Harris. It’s sad and the rest of the world would be laughing at you if it weren’t this serious for all of us. Please get Harris in and then suggest a move to a more pluralistic, modern democracy after. The other candidates will not matter in the current system. All you do is helping whoever wins.
