Yep, and that’s why she and the current Blackstaff, Vajra… don’t exactly mesh well on personal level. Although they’re very professional about it and do work together for the good of Waterdeep, things are… a bit tense.

It started off with a humorous comic, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons #23: “Lawyers!” by DC Comics, way back in the day. And since these were ultimately canon, they had to… meander a bit in later materials to to make it all work. More on this topic here.

As a little bit of a curious side-note, this is the creative process behind key location backgrounds. Making sure everything is exactly how we’d see it if we stood there, in-universe, true to Ed Greenwood’s wonderful world… that really brings the scenes to life in my mind…
