In europe the electric tea kettles are much faster. Being an american with a gas stove, i also find the stove top ones faster.

Its fear and anxiety that make them stupid.

Yeah they were psychotic crackheads that ran their country into the ground too. Almost like there is some kind of through line with fascist thinking.
GASP. Who? Me? What? I? (Maybe) would never.
Its just cholulah, its my go to for good flavor and medium heat.

The human race is not capable of terraforming another planet, we can’t even fix the climate of our very nearly perfect planet.
I just put it on top of the rice last second. Usually i put horseradish in my mac and cheese, works great there.
You sure they aren’t actually siblings?
There is a degree of subjectivity to it, but at some point you pass a threshold where it should become obvious to most people. When I was in college, a CS degree was the one degree everyone knew would land you a well paying job right from graduation. It had been like that before I got there, and it was like that after I left. That isn’t the case anymore, and you can’t blame it all on AI.

This is a good video that shows how the industry has been changing.
I think the biggest piece of evidence that AI isn’t actually causing the layoffs is that it doesn’t actually fucking work and everyone knows it.
The tech sector had been over hiring for a decade. The cutbacks were inevitable in any course. Whats funny about it is that by using AI as a standover they are enshittifying their product faster and costing themselves more in the process than if they had just started firing people.

I haven’t noticed a prevalence of that there. Checking it just now I can’t find a single example of misandry. Maybe you are just misreading the vibe.

Yeah that checks out. I looked up that 3500 calorie number after I said that and realised I had underestimated. But hiking 10-15 miles in appalachia with a thirty pound pack on a 1500 calorie diet (yeah I just brought nuts and a freeze dried meal for each day) would actually be closer to a 4k calorie deficit a day. It might have been less than 8 pounds too, depending on conditions when I weighed before and after. Your body weight can change a few pounds in a day just based on how much you’ve consumed and haven’t ejected yet.
Ive been sleeping with a noise maker (the kind that blows air through holes) my entire life. Ive noticed I get deeper sleep in silence though, it just takes too long to fall asleep without the white noise.

Yeah the potatoes have it, but when I make them I use what some might consider to be an unholy amount of butter and olive oil.

I have noticed also that I can get away with a bowl of cereal if I replace half of it with frozen fruit. What is it about fruit that keeps it from spiking your glucose?

I have noticed that my body always feels better when it burns primarily fat instead of carbs. Waking up and eating a bowl of cereal or oatmeal often makes me worse off than not having eaten at all. If I make a hash brown and eggs, I might not even need to eat again that day.

More than half the reason I ever get any exercise at all is in service of my mental health.

The other thing is that by not eating, your stomach will shrink. Pretty fast too, within a week of eating less your stomach will become smaller and it will become easier to feel full.

Personally Ive never been able to lose weight except by eating less. Lost 8 pounds backpacking in 5 days once though, was probably atleast a 2k calorie deficit per day.
Ignorance of a world with an ever changing social structure, drives fear and anxiety in those who don’t understand that. That fear and anxiety can be exploited at large to get people to make irrational decisions that benefit only a few.
