54·4 days agoI came across this map of terrestrial cables
It doesn’t appear to connect to the Hudson Bay cables

19·4 days agoThere are no power lines to these places.
They use local diesel generators for power.
These places are as remote and isolated as it gets… I’m just trying to figure out why and expensive undersea cable was put in place for about 8000 people that doesn’t connect to anywhere… And if it does it’s wireless… So why not make the whole thing wireless fro the start

332·4 days agoBut these communities are extremely small and isolated… No roads go there… so their Internet doesn’t connect anywhere…unless it’s wireless and then in that case why lay an expensive undersea cable… just make everything wireless

They don’t make the model s or the model x anymore
Youre telling me that cancelling 2 of its models and introducing this model, which is priced around s $200,000 and will probably never see the road as is because of safety reasons, will make the company stock go down?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•why do reverse thrusters work on an airplane, but a fan on a sailboat doesn't work?
1·9 days agoYou need a magnet thrust reverser
Put another magnet on the front of the truck and the magnets reverse thrust one another for maximum results

33·10 days agoHow is the sail in this pic any different?
It is redirecting the flow of air from the fan
