You’re right, while our efforts target different groups, the survey was particularly focused on vision.
I’m really glad it’s working for you!
I’m not sure what you mean about OP color. It’s the same blue as links, no?
Opinions are my own. Profile picture description: Black on white pictogram with a D20 showing 20 for a head and a game controller for a body and arms, holding a white cane.

Thank you, it’s all about doing what we can and working together!
Thank you! How do you like it?
I’ve been using the RBlind-Dark theme for internal testing for a few weeks and I’m super happy with it. It’s addressed a number of issues we had back in 2023 and just looks and feels nice. Beautiful design doesn’t have to be inaccessible!
I suspect they latched onto the 401 return code and made no determination on whether the author is or isn’t blind.
“It sounds like they want to use this for a bot - they can’t be blind!”
It feels, to me, like they thought the author was trying to get an accessibility cookie for a bot.
Woohoo!
Please let us know if you experience any weird connectivity issues.
So you’re saying I shouldn’t go get four keyboards using the same specific custom layout and should instead find ways to use other keyboards? Too late! Hehehe.
Yeah, that’s a risk to consider. Not just in accessibility, but other areas. There are people setting up old Macs just to use Aperture, a photo management and editing suite that was discontinued 15 years ago.
Definitely worth keeping in mind.
Cool, I hope it’s all really useful.
Yes, congrats @rumster!
Ah, yeah, Braille screen input in screen away mode. Braille is typed out on a six key chording keyboard. Think home row mods.
When you don’t have to look at the screen, it’s more comfortable to hold a phone that way than to put it down somewhere to type, since you still need both hands.
Neat paradigm shift, for sure.
Yeah, Linux is… complicated. macOS, on the other hand, has screen reader support through the whole process, including recovery. Talk about a disability tax, huh?
Pinning this for a while to get people’s attention. Please notify us when you close the survey.
We really live in an incredible time - while many barriers are social rather than technical, the mainstream and assistive usability we have these days is nothing short of magical.
That’s awesome! Feel free to post any links if you’re comfortable.
Good stuff. Mechanical and organic maintenance are great!
Oof, wow! Well, I hope they serve you well.
Nice! Are you replacing or upgrading?
Oh, yeah, it’s a little different.
