Don’t spread it around. It’s a complete fraud of a paper for all we know. Just the fact that it has convincing rebuttals is enough to make you consider it irrelevant.

I remember reading this simply terrible article in Scientific American; the entire article was based on this research paper referred to the meme above.
The paper was a complete fraud, and people just guzzled the cool-aid. He’ll they still do, looking at this thread.
Regardsless and anecdote aside, I mean fentanyl addicts makes for awful parents. No child should have to have an addict for a parent. They deserve better.
Right. Listen, comparing people with cancer to individuals with a drug addiction is just terribly offensive for reasons I don’t think you can comprehend.
All I can say is you need to stop doomscroling on this brainrot of a site and go tallk to some real people.
Lmao, well, with the ever slight fucking difference being that cancer is not a choice
Pretty much what happened. Why?
Yes, there are some truths to that, and she did try to do right in the end.
But if she would had been the mother to her son that he so clearly needed, maybe this wouldn’t have happened to begin with.

OP is describing the events of a civil war and thats what we’re discussing. I don’t know what it is you’re arguing about though.

The fearmongering ravings of an American doomer.
But as absurd as it is I truly fear for a people who start to reason like this. I hear it more and more often, just this thread alone…
It might be hard for us Europeans to understand but I think we need to take it seriously.
Could someone paste the article?
Oh give it up; another drama Wednesday? No thanks, I’m sick of it.
Reddits current business model makes no sense; a for-profit company can not rely almost wholly on volunteers. Reddit knows this, and so does the market.
So Reddit, a company that never turns a profit, is supposed to hire thousands of moderators, cutting deeper into costs. Dont think so. So there is only one option; AI moderation, no other way. This will be the goal and the final nail in the coffin for Reddit I believe.
No, you’re thinking of philosophy. Philosophy is a discussion. Science is a process. Just the fact that they are being accused of being misleading and outright falsyfyiing evidence is enough to simply ignore their purported results until they can produce a paper that fixes all those problems.
It’s not a discussion whether we can agree on something. The evidence should do the only talking.
