Yeah the RE franchise took a detour around RE Zero. With RE4, it is really noticeable. It went from horror survival, you better conserve your ammo. Don’t kill that zombie just run around him so you have enough ammo for the boss. To action horror, kill everything and everyone. We will drop a lot of loot for you.

I enjoy both styles, but understand the hate. After how RE4 was so well received they kept ramping up the action until the reset with 7.

I liked RE6 as well. I don’t remember if that’s the one where you punch a boulder into a volcano or if that’s 5, but I enjoyed the over the topness of it. I liked the set up of playing different characters too. Leon going through the White House was awesome.
