I hope they don’t cave this time. If they don’t do something to get the monthly premiums down millions of Americans will go without healthcare, and the cost of caring for people without insurance will be offloaded or “Cost shifted” to people who have insurance, forcing them to pay an inflated price for treatments, visits, and procedures.

No one I know is surprised by this news article. My only reaction is that it’s hard to believe that such young men posted such despicable content, and they aren’t higher up in the MAGA/GOP food chain.

I’m flexible on the income limits and cutoffs

I haven’t been reading too much news lately. What is going on with Jeff Bezos and why are people protesting him?

Prioritize; millionaires need to pay, and people who make less than 60k a year will not pay an income tax, and we will create a single payer system for healthcare; also - we will eliminate gov funded military research until we can subsidize day care so that moms who want to work can actually afford to do so. Single moms will pay less if anything than a married, 2income household

They better never elect me president. My first move; a 20% tax on all properties valued over 5 million, a 20% tax on all people who own more than 1 million in stocks OR ANY CONTROLLING interest in a corporation and a 20% tax on all income over 5 million per year.

Also, anyone with assets over 5 million per single person or 7.5 million for a family of two or more gets no-tax breaks ever.

my two cents (and if my upvotes are any indication my two cents is worthless) the real problem is that when you raise the minimum wage, you build an opportunity for companies to raise the prices on everything, and then we get into an inflation problem.

Example, my home state can raise minimum wage from 9 to 12 dollars an hour, but that 25% increase in pay would be all the excuse Walmart would need to jack up the prices to cover their loses;

Not saying we shouldn’t have a working/livable wage, but we gotta do something that forces companies to pay the workers more, and the owners/CEO less some how. Like an inverse tax calculation that benefits the company for paying lots of people more, instead of just the few at the time a premium.

I’m sure an economist can explain this better.

I’m still waiting for self checkout, airport self service check-in, automated answer services for credit cards, and computerized healthcare systems to make food, airplane tickets, consumer goods, and healthcare less expensive.

And I feel like I’ve been waiting a while…

Yeah, if you don’t like LinkedIn I just wouldn’t use it, no one is forcing us to use it. But I guess I’ll take the downvotes cause I’m not smart enough to think like everyone else. :)

I don’t find it useful, but every now and then I see an interesting article posted. I will say that LinkedIn premium for people who run small businesses is absurdly expensive

(Gasp) What happens when an insurance company is forced to repair everyone’s damaged property and the bug businesses that fund them go bankrupt? Will the country feel it then? Won’t someone think of the big businesses!
