11·9 months agoNeither AtlasOS or Privacy+ use repackaged ISOs, they distribute programs called playbooks which are installed after setting up Windows from a regular ISO. They’re both open source.

macOS has had support for x64 binaries in Linux VMs for a few years now, using their Rosetta 2 translation layer.

0·1 year agoI’m not saying I disagree, but does the average use have to worry about HTTPS though? The vast majority of sites use it now and most users aren’t very privacy or security conscious (even if they should be).

9·1 year agoFor instance, I can’t download completely youtube pages with videos using wget, but can with pywb (though pywb has issues with sites like reddit).
Not that I would necessarily use it for youtube pages, but that’s an example of a complex page with lots of AJAX.

GrapheneOS is not your typical android image … and that’s why its great!
All of them are pushing generative AI that many users don’t want and you have to manually opt out on Windows and Mac.

5·1 year agoId say about 90% of folks that push for this dont understand how our immigration/asylum system works other 10% would be hateful racist.
It feels like the percentages are the other way around.
