The species’ diet is believed to consist of amphibians […]

I guess I’m not pro-conservation after all

Hah, well, I didn’t find a comment from you there, but I switched to mander to check posts and found out that there has been a discovery that the content I post must be xposted without attribution before I get to posting on .ml. The many accounts for that user are all banned on .ml though so I can’t see the xpost here

How about human babies, surely they don’t feel pain?!?

As recently as the 1980s it was common practice for babies to be given neuromuscular blocks but no pain relief medication during surgery. In 2014 a review of neonatal pain management practice in intensive care highlighted that although such infants experience an average of 11 painful procedures per day, 60% of babies do not receive any kind of pain medication.

“We tortured crickets to prove that cricket torture is effective”

The question, then, may not be whether some insects feel, but why we ever assumed they couldn’t.

I haven’t been keeping up with xposting as quickly as I used to, but I don’t see any xpost links that aren’t from me or the RSS feed? I don’t remember your prior post, either.

Anyways, yeah, it’s very much a “no duh” article IMO, but given some of it, I guess that’s not universal.

TankieTube is a space for Marxists and anti-imperialists to host and share videos without ads, trackers, or fear of censorship by Big Tech for the “crime” of contradicting the US State Department.

Our core userbase hails from Hexbear and Lemmygrad, but leftists everywhere are invited to join and grow the community.

Terms:

• Anyone may sign up to like, comment, subscribe, etc., and explore PeerTube with a personally configurable account.

• Leftists (only) may upload videos.

  1. If you have more than one hour of video being transcoded, please wait until it finishes before uploading more, in order to prevent server congestion.

I’m sure Tanuki will stop by if there’s stuff to clarify - I’m not going to stalk your profile to figure out if you meet “my criteria” for being a leftist allowed to upload videos, but I will say that when I needed to report someone uploading inappropriate videos it was dealt with appropriately by the mod (not Tanuki, though I do trust he would have done similarly) who handled it (and if the person in question is stalking my accounts since I also reported you in a comm you mod, yes, it was my fault your videos got removed if you hadn’t already connected the dots).

That is, in fact, the article I posted, yes.

The tree itself is pretty cool alone, but the bird nests that can be home to hundreds of birds seal the deal.
