Did you make any adjustments to the game for the 2nd play through, or was it vanilla?
How was having to recollect all the hard drives, sloops, and spheres? Those are the things that daunt me most as I’ve already explored most of the world, so those searches feel much less satisfying.
I did start a second play through where I unlocked all alt recipes and that made it more interesting for me since I had new ways of doing things from the get go.
I’ve seen a few comments on Reddit (so, ya know) from people who switch back and forth between console and PC without any issues.
I’ve seen some players say they are role playing serving justice to those being wronged in solos. Roaming topside, heading towards sounds of gunfire, and Judge Dredd determining guilt and delivering sentencing.

ARC Raiders@jlai.lu•Is ARC Raiders worth it if you generally dislike third-person shooters?English
6·1 year agoFWIW, there’s a lot of videos out there with people talking about how much they’ve always hated 3P shooters and expected to hate ARC Raiders too, but ended up being surprised. Something about the world, the maps, and the immersion of it all making it work for them. Of course, YMMV.
It’s a fun game and the attention to detail is off the hook. It’s probably worth trying for an hour and if you hate it, refund it.

Satisfactory@lemmy.world•Day 182 of posting screenshots every day, of whatever I've been working on that day, until I run out of content or get bored
2·1 year agoGreat color scheme. What a labor of love. 🖤

Satisfactory@lemmy.world•Satisfactory's biggest patch since launch makes it friendlier for Steam Deck players: 'It's no exaggeration to say this update includes more than a year's worth of work'
2·1 year agoFWIW, it seems like nuclear is optional. I didn’t bother since I had a large rocket fuel energy plant which was only half done when I finished project assembly.
That said, build it if you want! But if you don’t like it, you don’t need to.

Satisfactory@lemmy.world•Satisfactory's biggest patch since launch makes it friendlier for Steam Deck players: 'It's no exaggeration to say this update includes more than a year's worth of work'
7·1 year agoWhat helped me was two things:
- Accepting that things didn’t need to be perfect and that there was actually a decent amount of wiggle room available to make things work.
- I took a month break when it felt like the complexity took a major leap up. Games should be fun and I realized I was feeling daunted and like it was a chore. The break let me come back refreshed and feel the joy again.
Also, I leaned pretty heavily on https://www.satisfactorytools.com/ to help me wrap my head around the complicated builds and flows. Donated money to them since it was so helpful.
Of course, that’s just my experience. Hope you make it though! It felt really satisfying to get to the end. I really appreciated their progression system.

Satisfactory@lemmy.world•Embracer to spin off Coffee Stain (maker of Satisfactory), rebrand as Fellowship Entertainment and release 76 games in the next year
1·1 year agoThe article makes this confusing. It says Coffee Stain will spin off with a few other studios — including Ghost Ship — but also that Embracer will be releasing the new DRG game.
I know that DRG game has been in development for a while. Maybe it’s included because it happened before the spin off?

Satisfactory@lemmy.world•Unsure about a second play through
3·2 years agoI like this idea! Unfortunately, the group I play with has shown no interest in the game. 🤷
Worth reporting. Seems unlikely Embark wants that behavior.
In the meantime, if you’re looking for squads, I’d check some Discord servers and team up with people that way. Good luck!
