Art Share🎨@lemmy.world•tree in my front yard - watercolor on paperEnglish
2·11 days agoWow. Thanks.
Thanks. I like the textures in the green and yellow. Very well done.
Maybe the teeth and how the smile is a little more open mouth and oval.
This is looking good. Don’t worry if you can’t get this one where you want, you’re learning and practicing. I’m learning too, and practicing a lot. I’ve been trying to paint the tree in my front yard, I’ve done a couple of pencil sketches, 2 paintings that are a little abstract, and 5 watercolor that are just the tree. Each practice gives me the ideas of tree shape, and for the watercolor versions I keep getting the branches a little better and starting to add more depth (which was totally missing in my first trees).
Practice, practice, practice. You’ll find little improvements along the way. Look at what you want to create (birds), watch some videos on his to, implement specific assets you want to add. (I’m no expert, just tinkering and sharing advise I received)
Not sure if this is something thoughtful with deeper meaning than I see, or if it’s just a quick fun playful piece.
Now your a bookmaker and artist.

You look concerned or disturbed, not sure which. Looks good.

2·2 months agoI just had the impression of the orange and yellow, and played around with it for a few days. I tinkered with the lines on my tablet first, then painted them on the actual paper.

2·2 months agoI took a picture to figure out the lines, this is the watercolor with digital added lines to get some ideas of what I wanted to do
I was at the Art Institute in Chicago recently and saw La Grande Jatte by Seurat and wanted to try something. Took a lot of time, and I don’t like a few things about it. Maybe I’ll try again later.
I was thinking Heavy Metal vibes
How about contacting a local high school or junior college art teacher to get students involved?
Maybe she’s really a little further back where the water is blue and deeper and she’ll be fine. I like the way you have the water colors, it works really well.
