the whole veterinary supply chain has been corrupted by private equity. even veterinarians not owned by private equity still have to send their lab tests to labs owned by private equity, and buy supplies from companies owned by private equity.

a veterinarian recommended to me to buy pet insurance because of this.

I recall reading this story months ago. The Canadian government and Marine land have been trying to find a solution for the last whales in Canada.

Marine Land claims it is running out of funds to feed the whales, let alone provide a suitable home for them. Some Canadians were against euthanizing the whales.

A wild sanctuary was discussed, but one is still not established, and has many unknowns whether it would be successful.

The whales couldn’t be sent to certain countries where they would be forced to procreate, and preform for entertainment.

There are always stresses and risks to whales during transit. These whales seem to be handling it not well.

That’s a long drive to turn around. The museum and visitors center was more interesting than the Crater.

It was very gusty winds when I visited, so only a brief time outside observing the Crater. There was a large hunk of meteorite inside, an educational lecture, and a museum. It was one of the highlights of my trip but it’s not for everyone.

I recall someone else turning around and saying it was too expensive when I was purchasing my tickets.

The drive was so gusty that the wind was pushing the car while I was driving it. What a day to remember!
