People who create LMOD modules

There were probably quite a few Maiar with Eönwë as you say to deal with the balrogs and Morgoth himself, but to my understanding he was already significantly weakened at this stage because of the marring of Arda (even Fingolfin did quite well in one on one combat, so I think a few strong Maiar could have done the job).

If you trust that the client (which is open source) is doing what it’s supposed to do, security-wise I don’t think there’s a difference between self-hosting and using Bitwarden’s service.

No, you don’t need to trust the VPS provider. The VaultaWarden password storage is encrypted, and the master password is never transmitted to the server. The passwords are decrypted only locally on your device.

For files I just use WebDAV that’s built in to Apache. It’s really not fancy, but does all I need.

I use RoundCube, I think it’s one of the oldest solutions out there, and is pretty good (and not ugly as of a few years ago).

Yep, you got it right. The accretion disk is actually really flat. Those images are produced in simulations that take into account the curved (and very complex) paths light takes in the vicinity of a black hole. These images really depend on the angle between the line of sight and the disk.

Astrophysicist here. Yes, space is crazy, but interesting things to keep in mind:

1. The size of a star is determined by something called the photosphere. With those extremely massive stars, you can be hundreds of millions of kilometres “inside” and not yet know it.
2. Similar story with supermassive black holes, from the perspective of an astronaut falling in, they wouldn’t really be able to tell when they cross the horizon because the tidal forces there are very small (they will inevitably fall towards the centre and get spaghettified at some point)
