7·1 month agoElantris by Brandon Sanderson is a great book about a city of godly individuals with magic and immortality somehow lost its spark and is now populated by equally immortal but shambling creatures who survive forever in decaying bodies.

Not only that, most fully realized versions of the character channel both the vigilante AND playboy personas to fight crime, using Wayne Enterprises to create welfare programs and jobs so Gothamites need not resort to crime to put food on the table.
There’s a scene where Batman pacifies a room of Black Mask goons without lifting a FINGER - he hacks the projector screen simply shows them a Wayne Foundation advertisement for better, safer jobs. One by one, every man simply drops their weapons and walks out the door as their crime boss irately yells at them to come back.

2·8 months agosteal your house reselling it to unknown people Even if we assume AI training on images is plagiarism, is copying an image the same as stealing it if you don’t use it for commercial purposes? I can make shitty photoshops of the Mona Lisa eating pizza - am I stealing art from Da Vinci?
Are most people really “reselling it to unknown people” or are they just using the model for fun? Is there any example of a business or individual successfully using the Ghibli model to create sellable goods? Seems to me the majority of people are just making cute portraits of their families.
Nah, it’s a meme edit that’s at least six years old at this point. Here’s one of the earliest examples I could find.
