I am glad that you like it. It would be nice to have little more traffic but post quality is more important so I can’t complain.

Shamelessly promoting my community again: !homebrewing@sopuli.xyz
It averages about 1 post per week but it certainly isn’t dead.
You can simply write !floatingisfun@fedia.io
It is recognized as link to community and not as link to web page.
I think that basic internet etiquette is enough. I had to deal only with that (someone wasn’t very nice when someone asked regular question) once. Other thing that is good to moderate is off topic posts - it is nothing personal just to give the community “the feel”.
For interaction with others I think that it doesn’t need to be in every thread or answering every comment. Just as regular user would interact-I really don’t understand power users.
Man you have 6 days old account. I had to deal with one comment as a mod, I checked the account (for other posts and comments), saw that it is exeption and just deleted it.
If I saw few days old account I would just ban it.
That’s why they use nitrogen and some nitrogen oxide in whipped cream spray cans.
I love that half is in metric and other half has pounds, foots and quarts.
My metric wired brain just don’t understand it.
When I see this meme I always remember the glass rod I stuck in my thumb when we learned to do some basic lab glassmaking.
The sigma has lots of weird quirks that the phone solves. Like you need their app to put routes in it, you need wifi to generate it, sometimes it makes weird spaghetti route…
I just don’t want my phone connected to it on multi-day biketour.
I use it with ROX 4.0, I have full maps in phone and when I see that the pre-planned route is bad I check it on the phone.
With this use it can do 2 - 3 days of riding. But with navigation battery is dead in 3-4 hours.
Still this setup is about 4x cheaper than basic Garmin.
I use my Galaxy S6 as dedicated GPS/maps head unit for my bike (Garmin is too expensive).
To get newer maps I had to reflash the rom to some hacked together Lineageos. With Odin/heimdal tool it was basically foolproof.
You can get to bootloader so it will be easy. Worse is bricked phone without access to it.
What was your issue with bikes? When I got used to it, it is no brainer to pick a bike and get to work.
My wallet cried a little when I bought new bike, then I calculated the cost of alternative (car, public transport) and was surprised that even nicer bike is cheaper.
If I count only operating cost of car it will pay off in about 1 - 1.5 years. Public transport is at about 2 years.
Yes I know that I have some infrastructure, and other things that make it possible for me to use it everyday as car.
Also I stay fit and healthy when I don’t sit in a car - so this is another value that can’t be easily put in monetary perspective.
Czech Republic, it has some requirements like it has to be voluntary, in good faith…
But basically you get 3000 czk write off per donation max 12 000 czk per year (you can donate every 3 months).
