So its more the unions that need to be careful and since there (currently) is not really an alternative for bus drivers to organize themselves and start collective action, the bus drivers are restricted by what the union can legally do. Pretty similar situation in Germany.
I think strikes should break laws if the ones striling think it might help them.
Legally that might be possible, but surely the solidarity between the bus drivers and the general population would be able to overcome that, wouldnt it?

Travel differently. Right now I try to use the fastest way to my destination because I only have limited time. But instead just stopping in places on the way or taking slower neans if transportation like hitchhiking would be great
As long as automation is not just a transfer of labor, there is not really anything negative about it.
But in our current world automation does not necessarily mean that something takes less human labor to produce, it usually is just cheaper to produce it that way. Like a robot might make my work day shorter (or just save the capitalist some money) but for robot to exist it needs materials mined, refined, assembly, quality control, shipping and more. Maybe those actions actually need more hours of labor, but because those happen in places where its way cheaper to hire workers the capitalist do that auromation anyway.

I think in general this will be treated pretty similarly to stealing unexpired food.
But this reminds me of dumpster diving, which atleast in some regions and some circumstances is actually legal.

I dont really want to change peoples minds about voting, but I can see how the community might attract especially those that want to do that.
To inspire action, I usually post in !inperson@slrpnk.net and all the anarchism & anarchism related communities.
I dont remember the source for that, but in the years before the spanish civil war, many anarchist organizations called for not voting. But in the final election, when fascists where really close to winning, they actually called their comrades to vote and the broader left won by a slim margin.
I just want to tell that story to show that there are historical precedents for anarchists to participate in an election.

Discussions around voting and US politics in general gets pretty heated. Even on slrpnk.net where I usually expect good faith exchanges, I had a few situations where the hostility was really noticeable. So please try to be understanding and kind to each other.
I made the community about not voting. That can include anti voting sentiments (I understand that as “voting is bad”), but also aims at those just not wanting to participate and those not able to participate. I can see how this distinction might not make sense for everybody, so feel free to ask for more clarification :)
I don’t want to create unnecessary divisions or drama on slrpnk.net or with other instances, so I am definitely fine with shutting !notvoting@slrpnk.net down if it constantly leads to that. I can see how !notvoting@slrpnk.net showing up on the local feed can be annoying to some and might result in people commenting on those posts to voice their discontent with the community. I appeal to you to focus on the positions and goals we have in common instead of the differences. Because I believe that will result in a way better experience on slrpnk.net for all of us.

I think banning people before they have the chance to show that they can follow community rules is not the way I would do it, but its also not something I deeply care about.
I also think on slrpnk.net you are restricted by the server rules, so you can be the most pleasant racist there is and would still break the server rules and thus get banned.
