I, for one, am actually glad when I see people promoting their businesses a little on here. Too often out in the world you’ll just find astroturfed, mass-manufactured things that come from the same 12 factory floors. We should enjoys sharing our work with our community for as long as they don’t.

Piefed seems to lack some major moderation actions on foreign lemmy communities, so I thought I’d make a local account, which was suggested to me over a year ago. Really, it’s just best that ownership goes to a lemmy account, and not this piefed one.

Repeating my edit in comments just in case of slow federation:
I have applied for an account on lemmy.world (rosahaj) to make owner-moderator actions easier, and it would probably be best to wait for that account to be approved before doing any transfer, just to avoid doing so multiple times as Piefed doesn’t have transfer capabilities for Lemmy.

I think we may be using different definitions of politics. I’d argue that even under birthright rule there was plenty of political action, just that it was a club most people weren’t empowered to have any say in.

I think I get what you mean, though, and you’d be right in saying that these things have been polarised to an almost sporting team-like level, where you’re expected to be on one diametrically opposed side or another. Really, it’s just a shame that’s all getting in the way of running things properly.

Crime and Healthcare are both political issues, irregardless to your, or anyone elses, allegiance or independance to or from any specific political group.
