      Disappointed is all I can say really. I like AI, Translation is one of the few things it can actually do that’s not harmful to the world or society. Op is likely not promising me a safe place to talk about AI as a state of the art word calulator but as a creative tool that makes whatever you want. And I can get the former other places.

      AI imagery looks like shit. But that is its main draw to the right. if AI was capable of producing art that was formally competent, surprising, soulful, they wouldn’t want it.

      Among many artists I’m subscribed to, there are few who specialize exclusively in AI art.

        If this involves AI, then the AI involvement is just a tool for the artist to use. Its just one of their many brushes. Reminds me of what code completion LLMs are to programmers. Both good and bad things came out of the ability to have literally magic almost mind reading autocomplete.
