Well let’s tax them more and stop that. That may we will go into a recession where the less affluent will bear the brunt of it.

That’s just fearmongering man. The rich being slightly less rich is nowhere near the problem you may think.

The article says boomers are the wealthiest retiring generation, so they’re putting all their money into the economy which goes into the pockets of the already extremely-wealthy rather than things like social security. Of course they don’t want you to support raising taxes or else less will go to the rich!

The rich can handle being slightly less rich better than the majority of citizens can handle the price of everything continuing to rise.

It makes sense though because you indicated in the past you’re in the top 5%, so of course you don’t want to pay more in taxes, but that’s because you’re part of the problem at your level of wealth.

If the government seizes less of nueromancer’s wages nuero is likely to either spend it, which stimulates the economy, or invest it which also stimulates the economy. As long as Neuro does not bury or hide it under a mattress the money will stimulate the economy as well or better than the government seizing and giving it to someone.

Greed is literally the desire to have more of something. Sometimes it’s money, sometimes it’s power, it can be other things too.

Your accusatory comments do nothing to further the conversation. You’re just mad at liberals because you’ve been told to be because they take things. This is part of what keeps us from uniting as a population to tackle issues that affect us all.

You’re also bad at forming an argument because you are so confidently incorrect at what you just said I don’t even need to prove you wrong. I just looked up the term used in the dictionary and discovered you used it incorrectly.

Get a better reason to be mad at others and come back when you have proof.

what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

They don’t get the concept it’s not greedy to want to keep some of my own money for myself.

I’d take liberals more seriously if they’d be willing to increase their taxes but their solution is always taking someone else’s money

No, this is just how you feel because you’re in the top 5% and don’t want to do your part.

Please find a single comment of mine that states I want people to be taxed based on political affiliation. Otherwise you’re just making shit up now. These accusations do nothing to further the conversation or be respectful. Isn’t that a rule in this community?

Or you could just do what you always do when you’re proven wrong in a thread here and don’t want to admit it and just stop replying, like our many threads over the past few weeks.

I do my part. It’s time others do their part. We already pay more of our income and the bulk of all taxes.

It’s time for you to sacrifice like we do.

              Who is “we”?

You do realize the lower earners in this country pay taxes too, yeah?

it’s time for you to sacrifice like we do

Omg how are the poor ever going to live without yacht money!!! Oh wait, we already do……you just don’t want to get used to it yourself for the betterment of society because you’ve been manipulated by a combination of greed and conservative media telling you that it’s wrong.

Then you didn’t look at the chart I provided you. We can’t have a conversation until you educate yourself on the topic. About 1/2 of Americans pay nothing in taxes. Zero

                  I looked but it’s irrelevant.

Are you upset at poor people not paying as much in tax, or the ultra wealthy getting away with no paying their fair share due to the tax system?

If the first, what makes you think they should pay more when they’re already struggling?

If the second, then would you support tax reform that requires the richest to pay more into it without as many loopholes, and would you be willing to be one of those people paying more as a 5%-er? And why are you continuing to back and vote for the people preventing it

If you don’t have a good answer feel free to just abandon the thread as usual.

It’s a 100% relevant. We can’t have a conversation if you won’t be intellectually honest.

I normally abandon a thread when it’s not productive. If you deny the real world then there is little value in a conversation.

All Americans should be taxed at a similar pain level. It encourages people to stop voting for stupid spending.
