So, I don’t participate in any political stuff on here. The most I’ll do, is just read it and that’s it.

But i guess what I’m really asking, is what is the general feel of lemmy in your experience? For me, I mostly get negative and toxic and hostile vibes. Maybe it’s the posts I read, not sure.

I don’t feel this way when I open reddit though. I’ve aggressively blocked and muted the political stuff out, so 99 percent of my home feed is upbeat and fun for the most part.

I’m just wondering why this is? I aggressively block communities on here as well, but it’s almost like playing wackamole, with new ones popping up in their place.

Does Reddit have better blocking features or something in comparison to Lemmy or something?

About the same really. On Reddit I used to use the multi-sub URL feature for non-political posts.
