Anyone got a real source on this? I grew up near a forest that had loads of these, and all the leaves were always spiky. Sure, there were also loads of deer around, but I can’t remember having ever seen a non-spiky one like that. Looks more like an odd mutation or so to me.
Humans are like this. In many cases an “asshole” is a human who had adapted to a more dangerous environment, at the cost of their pleasantness.
