To top it all off, Shadows’ EULA also includes a provision that allows the game to monitor your PC’s RAM to ensure you’re not running any unauthorized programs like macros, cheats, or hacks, a well-intentioned clause that nonetheless feels a touch out of place in a single-player game and could potentially scare off some of the more suspicious players who aren’t comfortable with their hardware being monitored.
For a single player game by the way
No thanks.
Absolutely shocking.
PC gamers only care about account linking when it’s Sony.
On the steam deck 3rd party launchers are a major pain in the ass.
Good thing Sony doesn’t even have a launcher. But hey, we’re still all mad. Because internet.
Its no news tbh, all Ubi games have done for a long time, look at valhalla, mirage, prince of persia lost crown and such
They have ram monitors? I know they have denuvo and such but this is first time I have heard of a ‘ram monitor’
I thought they did and that was one of the reasons Windows updates where breaking their games, but might have been a mistake on my part. Denuvo and mandatory Ubi link have been their standard for quite some time at least.
Maybe, I have no idea… I do think we would have heard about it if it was in mirage for example.
Weren’t they supposed to be in damage control mode after the broken Torii gate incident? Why are they trying to make Ghost of Yotei stronger? Are they stupid?
Nothing fitgirl can’t fix
Isn’t fitgirl a repacker?
Also, did recent denuvo games get cracked?
Yeah, FitGirl it’s just a repacker not a cracker. All they do is compress the cracked game and make an easy to use installer, DODI also does the same thing.
all this to protect people from pirating buggy slop that’ll be notoriously broken on day one.
Nice I wanted to buy some more stock
Stretching the definition of “feature”
As if I needed more reasons not to play it. Thanks Ubi, you shouldn’t have.
