No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.

    […]

    (d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker’s desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.

    […]

    (j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform. However, a flag patch may be affixed to the uniform of military personnel, firemen, policemen, and members of patriotic organizations. The flag represents a living country and is itself considered a living thing. Therefore, the lapel flag pin being a replica, should be worn on the left lapel near the heart.

    4 U.S. Code § 8 - Respect for flag

Flag code isn’t law. Also they didn’t use a flag for clothing. No flags were harmed in the making of their outfits.

      https://www.legion.org/flag/questions-answers/91517/it-permissible-wear-item-clothing-looks-united-states-flag#:~:text=Answer%3A,breach of flag etiquette whatsoever.

Is it permissible to wear an item of clothing that looks like the United States flag? Answer: Unless an article of clothing is made from an actual United States flag, there is NO breach of flag etiquette whatsoever. People are simply expressing their patriotism and love of country by wearing an article of clothing that happens to be red, white, and blue with stars and stripes. There is nothing illegal about the wearing or use of these items

Doesn’t have to be law to be a disrespectful decision (it is law though). Conservatives love to show “respect” to the flag, which the flag code outlines how to do. If you then toss those guidelines to the side whenever it’s beneficial to your argument, you’re not really respecting the flag, legality aside.

The guidelines don’t apply because it’s not a real American flag. As I cited the legion says it’s not an issue.

Funny how lefties don’t even know what an American flag is.

Don’t believe every source Google gives you.

The definition of a flag, according to the flag code, is as follows:

The flag of the United States shall be thirteen horizontal stripes, alternate red and white; and the union of the flag shall be forty-eight stars, white in a blue field.

Who is wrong about the definition of a flag, the flag code or this site you found?

I simply quoted the flag code, which was the basis of the point you were making that the clothing was not in violation of.

Also, flag code IS US Federal law, even though it is not mandatory. It was enacted by the 105th congress. So yeah that carries more weight.

You continue to show your ignorance of the points you argue against and I am so here for it.

I am not ignorant on the topic. I cited the experts on the topic and you look silly arguing with the group associated with the flag code. They are the group who created the flag code.

Yet you think you know more than the group who created it. Typical lefty response of thinking they know more than the people who wrote it.

I quoted the flag code and US congress itself, you just can’t stand being wrong.

Bruh I’m citing the damn code, pretty sure I’m more correct than you on this one 😂
