I agree with you, but look where the money is at. Google and Amazon and the rest want to take a cut of the money you give these apps and goods. It loses them money if they police these things.

That is the attitude of my dad’s generation. He works 60+ hours a week and gets up at 4am.

That advice may have been true 30 years ago but corporations do not care about you anymore. You move up by writing a good resume and switching jobs every 3 years. All that unpaid overtime you gave them means nothing. Maybe it’ll help you get a raise that is less than inflation once a year.

I really don’t think that the command line is a uniform interface. Every command has its own syntax, its own take on what its switches mean, its own take on regexes/globs and so on.
Powershell was kind of an answer to that. All commands are supposed to emit objects and take objects as input. For me though it is horribly unintuitive. Id love to see an open source attempt at it, but it would be hard since by necessity every dev works on their own tool, while Microsoft could enforce something because they own all the tools.
Tesla made good cars before. It is reasonable to assume that they would continue to do that. The people that have a cyberteuck today are people that paid for it years ago, so they wouldn’t have known how shitty it actually turned out to be.
I can’t account for Tesla’s continuing and worsenin quality control though as well as their cost saving measures that make the cars less safe. I don’t know how you see those trends and not cancel your pre order.
