Oh I never got more button presses than the initial 2 I started with. Must have been in the wrong house!
Last season you could buy button presses for your whole team, so we all ended up with heaps. This time you could buy them for yourself but I had better thinks to spend gold on!
I also wasn’t around much this weekend, maybe if I had more time I would have had my gladiator trained earlier and then had more surplus gold.
What happened? I had it open, I was cooking and suddenly it was finished. We forgot to press?
I don’t know about you, but I didn’t spend much time looking at the button this season or caring who held it, and instead was training up my gladiator for the next games. I was disappointed they never arrived.
I wonder if it needs a giant flashing banner in the last minute (no matter what you’re looking at) to make sure people remember to go and press it?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Why does most of the world use WhatsApp as their messaging app rather than RCS/SMS?
2·1 month agoWow, after the move to messaging apps pretty much any general phone plan here has free unlimited SMS, the different plans are about the data included. Even the $8NZD ($4.60USD) per month 150MB data plan comes with unlimited SMS.

8·1 month agoThis is my understanding. WhatsApp took off at a time and in places where SMS was expensive. Because WhatsApp used data, they could keep data usage low and allow people to message almost for free.
Yeah true. Can’t give you a list to pick from I guess haha, just annoying that I know the countries but sometimes can’t spell them!

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Any site that lists games that were never available as digital releases?
4·1 month agoYeah I guess they have limited resources, and their aim is to have the older games work on modern PCs. Not sure when you were doing this but I can absolutely understand that Windows 7 compatibility isn’t a focus for them in 2026 since MS support ended in 2023.
Well done! I can never achieve anything other than a blob. I gave up and just drink coffee black now.

7·1 month agoA significant number of games released before 2005 had digital releases later. It’s basically GOGs whole thing.

Damn I didn’t realise it was timed. Trying to do all that typing on mobile was a bit slow, I only got to 80 before running out of time, and still hadn’t done Europe and only started on Africa.
A bit rough they make you spell them all!
I live in a country with free healthcare and private health insurance. I even have private health insurance. But I have it through a nun-profit organisation that pays out ninety-something cents in claims for every dollar of premiums paid. So I’m ok with it.
Yes but this depends significantly on where you live.
Sure. Any driving you do increases your risk of death. But it’s likely you need to drive for other reasons that reduce your risk of death (like buying food).
Drinking is different because no one needs to drink.
My phone changes lenses automatically as I zoom the camera in and out. So I use them even though I’m not really actively choosing to use a different lens.
It pretty much always was?
It’s a tertiary source, so not appropriate for citing in your essays, but that isn’t a comment on the accuracy.

I agree. OP is 20 and not enjoying Australia, and has an opportunity to move to the other side of the world. Do it!
Here in New Zealand we call this your “big OE”, a large proportion of people will go and live overseas somewhere in their 20s to see what it’s like. We even have a mutual agreement with the UK to take a quota of under-35s and give them a 2 year working visa without having to meet normal working visa rules.
