I don’t read much for entertainment. Never have. The focus on “reading is super important” is honestly pretty stupid in my opinion. 99% of the shit people are reading is probably trashier than any other form of entertainment but people act like its a mark of a superior intellect because they are flipping through pages of a book.
I also find the physical act of reading a book to be incredibly distracting from consuming the information therein. I read much more efficiently and enjoyably using digital platforms than I ever did with printed media. I’m in my mid 30’s and probably an outlier for my age group in regards to how I feel about books.
Its just another form of entertainment, should not be put on a pedestal, and is really just as valid (or invalid) as any other form of entertainment—if you don’t find yourself drawn to it then don’t beat yourself up about it. No one is going around belittling people for not watching enough movies during a given annum; why treat reading a book like it’s some great and noble act?
This is the end result of no one actually understanding the notion of “practice makes perfect” and probably some other shit that kids are internalizing these days that I am not privy to.
It’s also really helpful to read again.
No one is perfect, people just get good at stuff by doing it a lot (and can also get worse if they stop doing it). So many friends of mine are always talking about doing creative stuff and how hard it is and yet they never actually just take the first step to try anything.
this is bonkers (hadnt heard of it before) and honestly pretty funny considering that every time “god” in the western sense is used in anime the entity or entities are more often than not villainous monsters.
How about getting one single third party candidate elected to a city council, as a mayor, as a judge, a state legislator, to congress? You know, positions that can actually affect change, instead of wasting your vote and time on doomed bids for the presidency.
Doubtful but I bet a lot of people would start saying paintings don’t really exist.

This post is pretty boomerish.
You’re not gonna believe this but there were movies that are even older.
what if the dead body is of a beloved pet? i find your shower thought lacking
I stopped using them a long while ago so might not be remembering correctly, regardless, getting a low battery notification is pointless on the device since the main issue is charging it makes it unusable, at least with the keyboard and track pad you can plug them in and still use them.
anyway, I think everyone in the world—except Tim Apple—agrees that the design is fucking horrible.
There is no low battery warning with the magic mouse. it will just shut down. This is an immense usability issue to the point that I had two on standby at work because the fucking things will just STOP working. This is a major design flaw and classic Apple—they have no direction in their product creation and haven’t since Steve Jobs died.
edit: apparently there is a warning but the fact remains it is a horribly designed product.
The entire scenario sounds completely fabricated. Voting in the US is completely private unless the person asks for assistance. Also the amount of detail the OP provided reads like fan fiction.
Lodge cookware is fine and cheap, I have a few sized pans from them acquired over the years and are still going strong, my only complaint is that the handles on them are very short. I also have a no name random cast iron skillet I got at big lots like 15 years ago that is also just as good as the day it was purchased. You don’t need to break the bank on getting cast iron pans—they are literally just a hunk of iron.
You should however figure out why you want cast iron. It is true that it is basically indestructible, but it has certain properties that can (slightly) affect cooking (specifically it retains a lot of heat for a long time and also heats incredibly unevenly).
Unclad stainless steel is basically the same as cast iron in that it doesn’t have artificial coatings and is nearly indestructible, but also heats faster and more evenly, is lighter, but doesn’t retain heat as well.
But seriously a 12 inch lodge pan is like $20 bucks and is basically all you’d ever need to cook most things
Also biggest advice: you dont need to baby your pans, just cook in them regularly and clean them afterward—they are at the end of the day giant hunks of metal that are heated.

Sing it! I read a lot—webcomics, manga, ebooks, video game text boxes, subtitles, internet content in general. Just not _ printed physical books_ which seems to be 90% of people’s definition of reading.
