Interesting. I was speaking more to my personal collection than anything else—Guess it’s time to go down the rabbit hole of Pog history haha. Surprised they haven’t resurfaced as an app (unless they have, I haven’t checked).
Here from Reddit–might stay a while.

I still don’t even know where they came from or why they existed but I did have a big tube of them and a nice brass slammer. Clearly I needed to fit in with my older brothers and that’s basically all I know about them.

I thought you were referring to The Doctor from Star Trek: Voyager and was about to pitch a fit but, yeah—fuck Whom’st Doctor Doth Darken Mine Teleboothe
Can’t say it’s the best but a really good one is Sir Arne’s Treasure. Its a silent film (which is a misnomer because they were always accompanied by live music back in the day). But it’s beautifully shot.
There is some very incredible work in films leading up until the introduction of recorded audio which basically threw cinematography back a good 40 years in development due to the noise they created and how actors had to be blocked to just record their dialog.
No, it’s not a social construct, it’s a description of things that are consumed for nutritional value. Sure, “food” is a social construct in that it’s an English Language word used to describe said items, but every single life form consumes some form of food, regardless of said life form’s society (or more often lack thereof).
Also there are literally objective things innate to certain objects that make them food so you’re entire initial premise is idiotic.
This constant trend in this stupid community to just post “Is [insert word] not what it is defined to mean??” As some mind blowing idea is exhaustingly boring.
Pro tip: you can vote for whoever you want to in US elections, regardless of party registration—registering as a member of a political party in the US means literally nothing—save for getting sales calls, being combined with a meaningless cohort for reports on “polls” and being given the option to vote in some primaries.
So long as you are eligible to, and registered to vote in your municipality, you can exercise your civic duty to vote. Don’t let weird psy-op posts like this one imply you’re unable to make your voice heard.

If your plan was implemented a simple graphic of a circle with a dot in the corresponding quadrant would work.
Agreed, I don’t get the argument for using Linux beyond vague “windows bad” hand waving. Frankly, having to use computers probably every hour of my waking life for work and entertainment, I find nothing wrong with windows, or Mac OS. Or iOS or iPad OS beyond just the idiosyncratic annoyances each OS brings to the table. Is there any tangible reason Linux is superior to all the other OSs out there beyond it being open source? Also how is being open spurce objectively a benefit?
Idk that sounds pretty liberal to me, conservative echo bot.
Work in excess of 40 hrs per week is generally guaranteed overtime pay so that so called company you supposedly work for is really doing itself dirty if its requiring its employees to put in such hours.
I’m more inclined to assume you’re just a troll doing some soft propaganda so not really interested in any further conversation—but if you’re a real person and you really do work for a company that’s just gonna start requiring working over 40 hrs a week id suggest reporting the company to your state’s department of labor and finding a new place to work.
Listen, I understand why you’d feel that way as a modern human, but why are you glad we, as a potently social species, don’t engage in such simple bonding rituals?
I disagree that DS9 is better
You’re wrong.
…check out Lower Decks. It’s huge fun.
You’re right.
One of the greatest television programs ever created. If you finish it and want more Deep Space Nine is even better. Voyager is good as well but a little more rough around the edges despite being shinier.
Because conservatism is fundamentally based on fear.
If there is any discernible pattern to noise it keeps me awake (talking, music FUCKING STUPID MOTHER-FUCKING NIGHT BIRD). I use a noise machine with white noise or fan sounds running. Creates a lovely sound blanket from that mother-fucking night bird.
