  • “Law enforcement cannot do this alone,” Monaco said during a gathering in Washington of federal law enforcement officials, members of the 3D-printing industry and academia. “We need to engage software developers, technology experts and leaders in the 3-D-printing industry to identify solutions in this fight.”

Good luck with that, it’s basically impossible. The best they could hope to do is have commercial printing services watch for and refuse to print the devices. Anyone can look up the patent for a Glock switch and design and print one themselves. It can’t be blocked on the printer level because that would require the printer to be a lot smarter than they currently are, and any such blocking could be bypassed by building a printer from scratch (not easy, but totally doable).

  • In California you can only buy torches and pitchforks that are approved by the state. Guess how many inexpensive ones are approved (lol, none). If you want to carry your torch or pitchfork outside of your house it either needs to be locked in a box or you need to buy a permit, which runs about $1200. There’s also a fee for a background check anytime you want to buy torch fuel, and they’re raising it by 500%.

  • Hi Steven. Thanks for taking the time to help us find answers to our long unfulfilled questions.

As far as I know, you and Elvis are the only people that can answer my question. For obvious reasons, I’m asking you. How can I get some law enforcement credentials? I’m wholly unqualified but would like to be able to get discounts and preferential treatment from the government and boot lickers. Also badge bunnies. Any suggestions?
