A few of the horses I cared for at the barn I used to work at refused eat those electrolytes in their grain, or drink it if I mixed it into their water.
If horses don’t really like it I can’t imagine humans fairing much better.
That’s why I added if you have the means, I absolutely understand if you don’t. I just had a tooth extracted that was overdue by a few years. Just didn’t have the money to get it filled before it cracked in half and I was in excruciating pain for months. I get it.
Maybe try a community health center if you have one near you? They usually do a sliding scale and can make referrals to doctors who work with uninsured or under-insured people. That’s how I got my tooth taken care of without being thousands in debt after. Just google “community health centers near 'name of town & state.” That is if you feel like pursuing it. Totally get it if you don’t, but the above info can help with other health related issues too.
Either way, I hope even a little of that info is helpful to you. I fucking hate healthcare that’s useless AND expensive. Wishing you the best.
Have you tried having a sleep study done? Sometimes your body can go through the sleep cycles weird, or they get interupted resulting in being really tired all the time. A sleep specialist can see what’s going on and help you fix it.
I wish I knew how to program so I could make a browser extension like ublock that blocks Trump content. I’m fucking tired of seeing his face everywhere and hearing all the dumb shit pouring out of his mouth and contaminating everything.
I know all I need to know about him and who I support politically. I’m so done with him trying to monopolize everyones minds and time. Get out of my life you fucking lich.
That animal looks like bad taxidermy even though it’s still alive. Poor thing
That’s fucking awful. I genuinely hope you find yourself surrounded with people who love and respect you. I know life can be utter shit, but I’m glad you’re still here.
Perhaps you can get a gofundme for dentures or implants in the future? It’d improve your quality of life and is worth pursuing if you feel like it’s something you have energy for.
Regardless of whatever the case may be, men should be encouraged to protect their sexual health.
Women have gynecologists they see to monitor and do preventative care, discuss birth control methods ect.
Men don’t typically see a urologist unless theres an issue, and because of that there are less opportunities for them to ask questions, or be educated about STI’s and ways to protect themselves. Or know the potential long term risks of common STIs or even the symptoms.
Add to that common misconceptions about condoms, user error while using them, and cultural attitudes and men are kinda set up to not use them in way. Men’s health is important. I worry for my nephews who are getting into their early 20’s. I hope what I tried to teach them makes a difference.
This comes from my own observations, and might not be a popular take, but men are often encouraged or celebrated for having multiple partners and not using protection.
This attitude puts men(especially young men) at risk for STI’s, some of which can affect fertility even if a course of antibiotics will take care of it. Others don’t have cures yet, or are not as easy to treat like herpes, the different hepatitis strains, HIV, genital warts ect.
This attitude towards sex for men puts their health at risk and their partners.
The amount of times I’ve seen dudes encourage each other to not use condoms is kinda distressing. I don’t think guys are being educated on how a condom should fit and how to find the right size. They shouldn’t be uncomfortable. If they are try a different kind.
Women often have to try different birth control pills until they find one with minimal side effects. Try different condoms until you find the right ones for you. It’s to protect your dick from diseases, not just to stop pregnancy.
Take care of yourselves guys. Your health is important.
People are taught how to write in an academic style in school.
There’s different applications for writing. Some examples in include but are not limited to academic, creative, and conversational/casual writing. Education tends to focus on academic(correct grammar, writing essays, doing research papers) followed by creative writing which is storytelling and poetry.
Expecting people to write academically in casual settings is weird. If I write a letter or email to my friend it’s going to include slang and have looser grammar.
Casual and academic writing have their place and time. Suggesting casual writing is inferior is just silly. If people always wrote everything like some formal essay it’d be fucking boring. No humor, no colorful language. Just boring ass academic writing everywhere.
Plus, believe it or not some of my most brilliant professors had a very casual way of speaking and writing. Academic use of language does not indicate intelligence. It just means they know how to write in an academic setting. Nothing more, nothing less.
Thank you! It was driving me a little crazy that couldn’t think of her name
Touching bronze actually removes the patina.
There are statues where the parts people touch a lot look almost golden.
Like the one of the busty lady in Ireland whose boobs look gold from people touching them. The name of the statue is escaping me, but maybe someone else will remember.
What’s funny is that I genuinely didn’t know he was a comedian until reading your post. I always knew him as some Alex Jones tier Podcaster.
I havent seen anyone mention this, but cucumbers have little sharp spikes/spines on their skin so that’d be a huge no for the vast majority of people, and those little spikes would probably rip any condom stretched over it.
Very few people are gonna be into fucking themselves with something that’s got tiny thorns on it…unless they go out of their way to remove them without peeling it entirely I guess.
Seems like a lot of work though.
I didn’t know that! Thanks for sharing that info.
I was really into growing culinary mushrooms for awhile was cautioned about my compost choices and to avoid fish based ones because mushrooms absorb mercury(and others like cadmium) particularly well. I didn’t know potatoes and herbs did that too
Especially if the compost is used for mushrooms. They have tendency to absorb heavy metals from the ground so you have to be careful where you pick them from and what kind of compost you use if growing at home.
I think a lot of us have been eating less in general due to how expensive food is right now, and that includes meat so that’s a win I guess?
Semi joking aside that’s a very reasonable approach to this problem. For some reason people like my parents “need” beef or some kind of meat with every meal, which is expensive and caused my mom to get gout. Yet her diet stays the same. There’s very little middle ground with people on this topic, so it’s refreshing to see someone suggesting we just eat less of it.
It’s a phenomenon that’s been observed across multiple sports, not just between men and women chess players. It’s particularly poignant in men vs women’s chess… because of people repeatedly telling women they are inherently worse than men. Like you are doing right now.
There’s been multiple studies on this. So yes, I side with the data that stereotype threat phenomenon has a significant impact on women’s performance in chess against men.
The chess one isnt quite right. There’s been experiments where if a woman player didn’t know her opponent was a man she would perform better. It’s called stereotype threat phenomenon.
It also happens when a male player knowingly goes up against someone higher in the league than himself and he performs below his own standard average.
Basically people in general psyche themselves out of their best performance when going against someone they perceive to be better than them whether that’s factual or not. Confidence and undermining confidence can change a whole lot about how a person does in any given game or task.
It’s still insane to me that people were actually doing that. I know meds like ivermectin and pyrantel are used in humans but still… Horses have BIG organs, and that paste is a suspension dosed specifically to get rid of equine intestinal worms. It’s not the same as the pill you get from a pharmacy.
Even if those people who ate horse dewormer felt no ill effects I bet there’s some organ damage in there. I’d hazard a guess that human livers and kidneys don’t like high doses of that stuff.
