I’ve had one supervisor in a large enterprise company make less than me - and they were damn good at their job. I was also told at another job I applied for (different firm) that I couldn’t realistically request to make more than the manager.

I’m curious if Lasik is an option for those into the 50 range. I’ve noticed my eyesight getting worse and would rather not do glasses all the time (readers I could see an exception for)

Too much amperage for a circuit is fine, for a battery is not. A circuit will present a known resistance and draw what is needed for a specific voltage. The batteries’ resistance will be very low at empty and change over the course of charge, and certain chemistries can be damaged over 1C.
