Also I thought every gun in the USA is labeled with a code to identify them? I thought because of this they could also sink the gun into some random river or water-body. I guess this would be hard to find.

And going back to hand-crafting might exploit some workers in worse working conditions (sweatshops). Handcrafting might also endanger workers, contact with chemicals, sharp objects, heat and other dangers.

What factor does their weight increase by, when they are fully grown?
You mean porting ones account from one instance to another? With all the data? to be honest, since lemmy is way more open a scraper could be developed for this purpose by anyone (using the lemmy api). Because of this lemmy accounts are already more portable than a reddit account.
